Wedding FAQ’s

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Our address is 5036 South El Pomar Templeton, CA 93465. We are approximately 15 minutes southeast of Paso Robles 30 minutes north of San Luis Obispo

WHAT IS THE VENUE’S CAPACITY?

Our venue can accommodate up to 200 guests.

IS THERE AN INDOOR SPACE?

Fableist Wine Co. is a fully outdoor venue. Our mesa-top setting allows for tenting if desired.

WHAT’S THE WEATHER LIKE?

Templeton enjoys generally mild weather year-round, with summer months being fairly warm. While we cannot predict weather patterns, our most popular wedding months are typically April-May and August- November.

DO YOU REQUIRE A COORDINATOR?

Yes. To ensure a seamless and well-organized event, we require a full-service wedding coordinator. Coordinators may not be guests of the wedding. We strongly recommend working with a planner who can support you throughout the planning process.

DO YOU REQUIRE WEDDING DAY INSURANCE?

Yes. Special Event Insurance is required and may be obtained through your personal insurance provider or online through companies such as WedSafe or WedSure.

ARE TABLES AND CHAIRS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL?

Yes. Your wedding package includes (25) 60” round tables for guest seating, as well as (8) 8’ banquet tables, (6) 30” cocktail tables and up to 200 fruitwood folding chairs.

DO YOU SET UP AND STRIKE DOWN FOR MY CEREMONY AND RECEPTION?

Setup and breakdown are best handled by professionals. Please coordinate with your planner or caterer to confirm whether they provide these services. For safety and efficiency, guests are not permitted to assist with setup or strike down.

WHAT IS YOUR FOOD POLICY?

Couples are welcome to select the professional wedding or event caterer of their choice. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, all food must be prepared and served by a licensed caterer - homemade food is not permitted.

DO YOU PROVIDE GLASSWARE?

Glassware and other tableware must be rented or brought in by the couple or caterer. Rentals must be delivered no later than one day prior to the event. We can provide recommendations for trusted rental companies.

HOW LONG DO WE HAVE THE VENUE ON OUR WEDDING DAY?

You’ll have exclusive access to the venue from 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. on your wedding day. To ensure a private experience, our Tasting Room will be closed to the public for the duration of your event. Bar service ends with a last call at 9:30 p.m., and the final song must conclude by 10 p.m. Once your event concludes, we ask that you gather your personal belongings and any decor you’d like to keep. Anything left behind will be discarded. All guests must depart the property by 11 p.m.

CAN WE SET UP OR STORE ITEMS THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING?
Yes. Limited access to our garage storage area is available for storing decor and other items in advance. Any requests for setup prior to the day of the event must be approved by our Tasting Room manager.

WHAT TYPE OF DECOR IS PROHIBITED?

Flammable liquid (Sterno heat is OK), rice, silly string, fake snow, faux flower petals.

WHERE DOES MY BRIDAL PARTY GET READY?

Your wedding package includes a two-night stay in our beautifully renovated Farmhouse, which sleeps up to 8 people. Your wedding party is welcome to stay the night before and enjoy getting ready on-site the day of your wedding. The Farmhouse is filled with natural light and charming details - perfect for photos!

In addition, you will have access to the Chardonnay Room located inside our tasting room from 1 - 5 p.m. on the day of your event. This extra getting-ready space is commonly used by the groomsmen, but can be used however it best suits your group.

Please note that once the ceremony begins, access to the Farmhouse is limited to the wedding party only.

WHEN DO WE HAVE OUR FINAL WALKTHROUGH & CEREMONY REHEARSAL?
We’ll send you automated reminders when it’s time to schedule your final walkthrough and ceremony rehearsal. Final walkthroughs are typically held approximately two weeks prior to your wedding date. Your ceremony rehearsal will take place the day before the wedding and lasts one hour; the rehearsal time is subject to venue availability.

WHEN DO I SEND MY FINAL GUEST COUNT TO THE FABLEIST WINE CO.?
We request your final guest count at the time of your final walkthrough, approximately two weeks before your wedding. That said, we understand plans can evolve and are happy to accommodate reasonable last-minute adjustments as needed.
